Black Velvet is a duo formed by two passionate musicians: Sandra Backwinkel and Hernán Filippini who play mainly 80’s songs in acoustic style.
Sandra Backwinkel is a singer and a songwriter born in Germany in 1982. Expericenced lead singer in several Rock/Pop coverbands, recorded her first studio CD “On My Own” in 2014. Although she is mainly a singer, she also plays the guitar and percussion.
Hernán Filippini is a guitar player, singer, composer, producer and sound technician born in Argentina and has been living in Spain since 2001. He has performed with Ariel Prat, Chabi Benedé, Pato Badian, Tanyirango (Theatre Company), Santiago Meléndez (composing the music for the play “Sonetos del amor oscuro”) and Roberto Galli among others. He also took part in the film “Chrysalis” by Paula Ortiz.
